As part of the project for implementing and developing a corporate project management system at AM‑Soft LLC, comprehensive work was carried out to establish a unified, structured, and manageable project portfolio. The main objective was to create a transparent system for planning, controlling, and coordinating project activities using Microsoft Project tools.
Project Portfolio Development and Data Management
The first stage involved systematizing the company’s ongoing initiatives. Consultants collected and described all projects in the form of a registry prepared in MS Excel. Based on this registry, the data was transferred to Microsoft Project Professional, which made it possible to build a complete and structured project portfolio for the company.
After importing the information, timelines, dependencies, and logical links between tasks were clarified. The final versions of the projects were published on the MS Project Server, ensuring centralized data storage and access for all project participants.
MS Project Server Configuration and Employee Training
AM‑Soft deployed MS Project Server, which enabled the start of the practical phase of implementing the corporate project management system. To carry out these tasks, trainer‑consultant Ivan Ivanovich Oberemok was invited.
One of the key steps was configuring the MS Project WebAccess environment. After the technical setup, employee training on how to use the system was conducted. The one‑day training session covered key specialists involved in planning, monitoring, and executing projects. Users mastered the basic tools for working with tasks, resources, schedules, and reporting.
Access Rights Configuration and Corporate Calendars
To ensure correct operation of the server-side system, access rights were configured for different categories of users, and corporate calendars were created. This made it possible to account for actual working schedules, holidays, employee workloads, and other factors that influence project planning and execution.
Identification and Allocation of Key Resources
After publishing the projects on the server, work was carried out to identify the company’s key labor resources. Based on up‑to‑date data, it became possible to analyze employee workload, distribute specialists across projects, and identify potential bottlenecks in the resource model.

Implementation of this project enabled AM‑Soft to:
